AS&E receives order for cargo X-ray inspection systems

American Science and Engineering, Inc. (AS&E®) (NASDAQ: ASEI), a leading worldwide supplier of innovative X-ray detection solutions, announced today that it has received an $18.8 million order for cargo X-ray inspection systems from an unnamed government agency to screen cargo and vehicles for explosive threats and contraband at border crossings.

AS&E’s cargo inspection systems are available in a variety of configurations and can inspect cars, vans, and trucks, as well as palletized cargo, and air and sea cargo containers.
