Annual Breath of Life Ball to be held at Santa Monica in California

The Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), California Chapter will hold its annual Breath of Life Ball on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the elegant Fairmont Miramar Hotel located at 101 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, CA. 90401. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a silent auction and celebrity reception followed by dinner, program, entertainment and a live auction beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Donald T. Sterling, Owner of the Los Angeles Clippers will receive the Man of the Year Award; John Fiedler, President of Southern California Edison will be bestowed the Environmental Leadership Award; Dr. Washington Burns of the Oakland Breathmobile will be presented with the Orchid Award; Dr. Marilyn Li of the LAC+USC Breathmobile will be recognized as Outstanding Physician of the Year; Senator Alan Lowenthal will receive the Civic Leadership Award; Supervisor Roy Wilson will posthumously be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award; Brendan Abrams will receive the Philanthropic Youth Award for raising over $1,500 to send kids to AAFA’s summer camp.
