One year after the inauguration of President
Obama, an analysis of 18 American Pulse™ surveys (including over 90,000
respondents), shows that Americans are increasingly dissatisfied with his
and the Democratic Congress' policies. From concerns over the economy,
frustration about healthcare and a feeling that they no longer have a voice
in Washington (just to name a few), Americans are indicating they may
simply be fed up with Washington.
Key points from every month throughout the past year include:
January 2009
-- 55.9% thought Tim Geithner's failure to pay taxes in the past should
prevent him from being Treasury Secretary... he was confirmed.
-- 62% strongly disagreed with or disagreed with the statement "The U.S.
Government is looking out for my financial interests"... strike one against
government spending.
