AFH Holding & Advisory, a financial advisory and consulting firm, has donated to Lifedriven Foundation, a non profit dedicated to finding a cure for cancer and providing support to children and their families affected by the disease.

The organization was founded in 2006 by Chris Angelo Word, a survivor of colon cancer, who during his rehabilitation, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center saw children battling cancer. It was then that he had the vision to start Lifedriven Foundation and to inspire children to be Lifedriven.  With a desire to put smiles on faces and positive memories in the hearts and minds of children fighting cancer, Lifedriven takes children and their families on an all expense paid day to Disneyland.

"This donation will help us to further inspire children with cancer to believe that miracles do come true. This is the largest donation we have received to date and we are thankful for the support," said Chris Angelo Word, founder of Lifedriven Foundation.

Lifedriven has helped over 100 local families and currently is filming a documentary, traveling around the country to raise $1 million to benefit children suffering from cancer.

"Through the efforts of Mitra Heshmatpour, we are committed to helping this wonderful local organization lift the spirits of children," said Amir Heshmatpour, Managing Director of AFH Holding & Advisory. "Working with entrepreneurs as I do, I know how valuable unique ideas can be in the hands of inspirational leaders such as Chris Angelo Word."
