The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) has launched a web-based portal that brings together information on a wide range of programs aimed at increasing the diversity of the biomedical workforce. The FASEB and FASEB Society Resources for Underrepresented Minority Students and Scientists webpage highlights over 50 unique initiatives offered by FASEB and its member societies. The site includes information on research and scholarship opportunities, travel awards, and educational materials available to trainees and scientists at all levels. It also houses information on career and professional development programming available at the FASEB societies' annual meetings and links to a host of other resources available in the community at large.

"We hope that this new website will connect students and scientists with information, resources, and opportunities that will sustain their interest in pursuing scientific careers and facilitate their success as they move forward," said FASEB President, Mark O. Lively, Ph.D. The new resource is also intended to "promote the exchange of information among organizations with an interest in increasing the number of scientists from underrepresented groups so that we may learn from and work with each other in pursuing this common goal."
