MedNet Solutions, a global life sciences technology solutions company specializing in clinical study management systems, is pleased to announce significant enhancements to EMPOWER™, the company's comprehensive investigator initiated - sponsored research (IISR) management solution.  The EMPOWER system is currently being utilized on a world-wide basis by numerous pharmaceutical and medical device companies to automate and streamline investigator research submissions, management and reporting.

The EMPOWER enhancements, which are being rolled out in three separate releases during the third quarter of 2010, have been designed to: 1) increase the standard functionality available in each of the system's core modules, 2) expand the inherent configurability of the system to fully meet each customer's unique requirements, 3) add new standard reports and metrics that allow customers to continually improve their overall IISR management program.

"MedNet is dedicated to fully meeting the needs of the IISR community," stated John M. (Rob) Robertson, President and CEO of MedNet Solutions.  "This commitment is demonstrated not only by our ongoing investments in EMPOWER, but through our active involvement in the Investigator Initiated-Sponsored Research Association (IISRA), where our own Patricia Westergren serves on both their Board of Directors and their Executive Committee."

"No other product on the market offers the depth of functionality and built-in flexibility that is available today with EMPOWER," stated Ms. Westergren, Product Manager for IISR Programs at MedNet.  "And the IISR community is realizing this – as is evidenced by the market's high level of interest in EMPOWER."
