On Assignment, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASGN), a diversified provider of professional staffing solutions, announced today that On Assignment Nurse Travel has been awarded a five-year General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule 621 I contract to provide federal agencies with nurses and nurse practitioners.

“We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to provide our services to GSA facilities, and very pleased to offer so many new possibilities to our nurses”

This Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract, number V797P-7273A, covers professional and allied healthcare staffing services for all federal healthcare facilities, including the Veterans Administration, Indian Health Service, and Department of Defense facilities.

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with GSA facilities to fill their short- and long-term staff vacancies," says Kathryn Hoffman-Abby, Executive Vice President of On Assignment Nurse Travel.

"On Assignment Nurse Travel is committed to the highest quality placements. In addition to our Joint Commission Certification, we follow a strict review protocol to make sure our nurses meet clinical and facility-specific requirements before profiles are submitted. This translates into the best value for our government clients," she continues.

This contract increases the positions available to travel nurses by enabling On Assignment to bid on contract nursing positions at hundreds of government facilities across the country.

"We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to provide our services to GSA facilities, and very pleased to offer so many new possibilities to our nurses," says Abby.
