iMDsoft® announces that King's College Hospital has gone live with iMDsoft's MetaVision® suite in its 16-bed critical care unit (PICU and HDU).

“We are proud to include another recognized leading NHS Trust hospital in our client base, and share the Trust's commitment to ensuring better patient care, through the use of advanced technologies.”

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of London's largest and busiest teaching hospitals providing a unique profile of specialist services to patients across a wide area. The hospital is part of King's Health Partners, named as one of the UK's pioneering Academic Health Science Centres.

With a national and international referral base, the hospital's PICU treats children from birth to 16 years for trauma, liver and general disorders. MetaVision provides the PICU with a complete electronic patient record, and arms healthcare professionals with timely, accurate, and actionable information. The system meets the workflow requirements of this high-need, data-rich environment through a variety of tailored functionalities.

King's College Hospital and the newly upgraded PICU employ a wide range of high-end IT systems. A proactive approach to system integration, with both existing and planned technology investments, was a key factor in iMDsoft's selection. The MetaVision platform integrates seamlessly with the Hospital's information systems including PACS and labs while complying with the hospital's overall IT strategy. MetaVision's ability to provide continuity of data across departments will ensure a continuum of care for patients, should the installation expand to other critical care units.

"We are very happy to have MetaVision successfully implemented in our paediatric critical care. It has enabled all the healthcare professionals to better access a multiple variety of data which is available for complex decision making needs. Accessing data of discharged patients for clinical audits and reviews of patients is much improved. This enables us to identify trends of, for example, morbidity and mortality." said Sharma Sajadah, Senior Charge Nurse, PICU at King's College Hospital "MetaVision also allows us to capture numerous data for standards like PICANET and PCCMDS and export these to senior managers in the trust and national databases"

"We are pleased to announce the implementation of MetaVision at King's College Hospital in London," said Phyllis Gotlib, CEO of iMDsoft "We are proud to include another recognized leading NHS Trust hospital in our client base, and share the Trust's commitment to ensuring better patient care, through the use of advanced technologies."
