Applied Precision, a leader in life science imaging solutions, is proud to announce the installation of four of its revolutionary DeltaVision OMX® super- resolution imaging system in a record timeframe of eight weeks.

The DeltaVision OMX is a ground-breaking, super-resolution microscopy system that more than doubles the optical resolution of the traditional light microscope in all three dimensions. This super-resolution capability is especially important to cell biologists and microbiologists seeking to study objects and events that lie beyond the limits of conventional microscopy methods.

"We are thrilled to have reached this important accomplishment with our DeltaVision OMX system," says Applied Precision President and CEO Joseph Victor. "Our company is driven to advance the field of microscopy and specifically to push the boundaries of super-resolution microscopy. The DeltaVision OMX system is just the beginning of this endeavor."

From its introduction to the marketplace in 2009, the number of DeltaVision OMX scientific publications continues to grow along with the world-wide installation base. Applied Precision has sold and installed multiple DeltaVision OMX platforms in North America, Europe and Asia. Recent installations include Yale University, Indiana University, Institut Curie and the University of California, San Diego.

"We are hearing time and time again from researchers that they are generating data that was previously out of reach with existing microscopy technologies," says Victor. "We are excited to be able to support the Life Sciences community with this revolutionary technology and look forward to discussions at the upcoming Neuroscience 2010, where we will be promoting our super-resolution system as part of the growing DeltaVision family of microscopy systems."

Applied Precision will be located in booth 3601 at Neuroscience 2010 in San Diego, November 13-17.
