Sagent prices initial public offering at $16.00 per share

Sagent Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: SGNT) announced the upsizing and pricing of its initial public offering.  The size of the offering has been increased from the previously announced 5,000,000 shares of common stock to 5,750,000 shares of common stock at a price to the public of $16.00 per share. The shares are scheduled to begin trading on The NASDAQ Global Market on April 20, 2011 under the ticker symbol "SGNT."  The underwriters have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 862,500 shares at the initial public offering price. The offering is expected to close on April 26, 2011.

Morgan Stanley, BofA Merrill Lynch, and Jefferies are acting as the joint bookrunners for the offering. Needham & Company, LLC and RBC Capital Markets are acting as the co-managers for the offering.
