Bound Tree Medical, the nation's leading provider of emergency medical supplies and equipment to the pre-hospital market, today announced that it has acquired Alliance Medical, Inc. ("AllMed"). The acquisition advances Bound Tree Medical's initiative to provide its customers with leading-edge equipment, supplies, pharmaceuticals, and value-added services.

Alliance Medical is a specialty distributor of emergency medical services (EMS) products, supplies, equipment and clothing. Headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri, the company serves customers in more than 30 states. Bound Tree Medical's acquisition of Alliance Medical further extends its national footprint and expands its portfolio of specialty medical products to the EMS market.

"Our customers will be in good hands with Bound Tree Medical," said Larry Dahl, founder and chief executive officer, Alliance Medical. "Bound Tree Medical shares the same dedication as we do to offering customers high-quality products and supporting them with excellent service."

Bound Tree Medical has invested in expanding its EMS products and services since partnering with Water Street Healthcare Partners, a strategic private equity firm focused exclusively in healthcare, in 2008. In 2009, Bound Tree acquired Blue Ridge Medical, Inc., a national supplier of pharmaceuticals to the EMS market.

"We are committed to providing our customers with the widest range of medical products and technologies. Alliance Medical has a strong and proud tradition of serving the EMS community. Together, our companies offer our customers a significantly greater number of product choices, as well as enhanced support. I am excited to bring our companies together to provide greater value to our customers," said Tim Wedemyer, president, Bound Tree Medical.
