UHS total revenues increase 2.4% to $104.3 million in Q3 2013

Universal Hospital Services, Inc. ("UHS"), a leading provider of medical equipment management and service solutions, today announced financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

Total revenues were $104.3 million for the third quarter of 2013, representing a $2.5 million or 2.4% increase from total revenues of $101.8 million for the same period of 2012. Revenues for the first nine months of 2013 totaled $321.6 million, representing a $9.2 million or 3.0% increase from $312.4 million for same period of 2012.

Third quarter Adjusted EBITDA was $29.2 million, a 4.3% decrease from the prior year when excluding the $3.2 million of recalled equipment gains recognized in the third quarter of 2012. Adjusted EBITDA for the first nine months of 2013 was $89.6 million, a 3.1% decrease from the prior year same period when excluding the $18.6 million of recalled equipment gains recognized in the first nine months of 2012.
