Polymer Technology Systems, Inc. (PTS, Inc.), the U.S.-based manufacturer of the CardioChek® family of point-of-care diagnostic products and Whitmire Medical have announced the signing of an agreement to supply the CardioChek PA test system to Workwell Consultants as part of its ongoing effort to create healthier workplaces.

Workwell Consultants is a national leader in assisting organizations in creating comprehensive and strategic approaches to employee health and productivity management.  The CardioChek PA test system is an ideal fit for Workwell Consultants' initiatives because it provides lipid panel results in less than two minutes.

Workwell Consultants knows what it takes to build world-class employee health and wellness programs.  Just ask Dr. Stefan Humphries, President and CEO of Workwell Consultants.  Dr. Humphries also happens to be a member of the 1985 Chicago Bears Superbowl Champions, two-time Academic All-American, and Big Ten Conference Medal of Honor winner for excellence in Academics and Athletics.

At Workwell Consultants it takes having strategic, expert teammates, a never-ending pursuit of excellence, and superior equipment to succeed.

"We were utilizing a different platform, but felt, with the rapid advances in technology coupled with the need to manage costs and waste appropriately without sacrificing quality, we needed a point-of-care distributor partner that could independently represent Workwell Consultants' needs.  With 25 years of POC experience and a reputation for delivering the 'right' solutions, we chose Whitmire Medical.  They were instrumental in assisting us to find the platform and the manufacturing partner we needed." said Dr. Humphries.

Kathy Worden, Chief Operating Officer at Workwell Consultants, stated, "After examining the clinical, operational, and financial characteristics of the many lipid testing devices available, it became clear very quickly that the CardioChek® PA device was exactly what we needed.  Not only is the device CRMLN certified, but the CardioChek PA system is a clinically superior lipid testing platform, and is fiscally the best platform in its class today.  Whitmire Medical knew exactly what we needed and delivered."

According to Roger Woodward, VP of Operations at Whitmire Medical, "Over the last 25 years, Whitmire Medical has made it our goal to serve companies like Workwell Consultants.  Dr. Humphries and Ms. Worden have a very clear vision of where they want to be as an industry leader, and very clear requirements in regards to accuracy and precision.  Our job is to ensure that we support those goals by providing proven clinically-superior options, while providing a means to achieve operational and financial goals as well."

Workwell Consultants intends to deploy the CardioChek test system immediately. "PTS has the products, operational efficiencies, training, and distribution in place that we were looking for," continued Worden. "Their system is accurate and easy to use. The test strips don't require refrigeration and the analyzer is battery-operated, which are important operational benefits for our teams. We look forward to a long and mutually-beneficial partnership."
