American Biosurgical announces acquisition of MTI

American Biosurgical, LLC ("ABI") (www.americanbiosurgical.com) a privately owned, custom medical cable manufacturer actively engaged in the design, development and production of innovative medical interconnect technologies for the world's leading medical device companies has announced the acquisition of MTI Corporation, a high precision, low volume custom medical cable manufacturer based in North Carolina. The new business will retain the MTI brand under the name MTI Medical Cables.

The acquisition expands ABI's customer base; and introduces a new product segment, pressure transducer monitoring, within the patient monitoring market. With MTI's production facility in Asheville, North Carolina, American Biosurgical adds US manufacturing capabilities to complement its existing overseas manufacturing in China.
