Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) hosts Medicines Optimisation Roadshow on Tuesday 12 May 2015

The Yorkshire The Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) will be hosting their Medicines Optimisation Roadshow on Tuesday 12 May 2015.

The event will be hosted jointly alongside NHS England and the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) and is one of 15 Roadshows being held by AHSN’s across the country.

The roadshow will provide delegates with the opportunity to hear from national leaders and local experts, including patients, who are accelerating the use of innovative, safe and effective medicines. Medicines optimisation improves outcomes for patients and maximises the benefits of the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS) Agreement.

In addition to showcasing examples of both local and national best practice, the roadshow will also feature a video address from Sir Bruce Keogh, National Medical Director at NHS England as the national context of medicines optimisation is explained.

The free to attend event is taking place on Tuesday 12 May between 9am and 4pm at Horizon Leeds, LS10 1JR.
