The opening of The Regency's Resident Wellness Center serves as the official launch of their new partnership with Saddleback MemorialCare, an effort representing their shared interest in promoting happier, healthier aging.

"We are excited to announce the opening of our new Resident Wellness Center," explains Bob Fiorentino, Executive Director of The Regency. "Over the past few years, we have made great strides in partnering with local service providers – to bring holistic health and preventative care options to the residents of our senior living community."

On June 10, 2015, The Regency – located at 24441 Calle Sonora, Laguna Woods, CA 92637 – officially opened its new Resident Wellness Center, which will serve as the community's central hub for educational seminars, activities aimed at promoting healthy aging, and expert care resources from Saddleback MemorialCare Home Health.

"Our goal is to get to know each and every resident on a personal level," explains Joe Siggins, CEO of MemorialCare Home Health "This personal touch allows our team to better serve residents of The Regency, allowing us to understand a wider spectrum of elements that make up a resident's overall health – from diet, to vision, balance issues, and even chronic pain."

The Regency's Resident Wellness Center includes a Registered Nurse, a Physical Therapist, an Occupational Therapist and a Speech Therapist – all of whom are available to meet with residents, by appointment or as walk-ins during normal business hours.

"This expert team, with the help of The Regency's dedicated care staff, will allow us to better serve our residents," continued Fiorentino. "Together, they will enhance our ability to promote health and wellness; as we identify early warning signs in order treat harmful conditions before escalating."
