Meridian, Ethicus Healthcare sign deal for latest suite of analytical programs

Meridian Healthcare Intelligence, a Dallas-based healthcare software company, signed a deal with Ethicus Healthcare for its latest suite of analytical programs designed to help improve cost management and operational performance.  Ethicus Healthcare operates a long-term acute care hospital in Grapevine, Texas. 

Pinpoint™ allows hospital administrators to compare physician performance, identify wasteful spending, and track costs down to the line item detail. Pinpoint™ also provides a detailed revenue and cost profit margin analysis of third-party payors. One popular program within the Meridian suite of products forecasts patient profitability.  Pinpoint™ users find the software to be invaluable in cost containment and profitability optimization.

eVal™ is the first clinical assessment tool of its kind. The program is completely automated and tailored for the post acute care industry.  Entirely electronic, eVal™ streamlines the referral to admission decision process and captures critical data along the way. eVal™ integrates seamlessly with Pinpoint™, providing key metrics for admission decisions.  eVal™ is a risk assessment tool.  Its comparative analytics allow providers to identify potentially high-cost patients and patients that are likely to be re-admitted. eVal™ also functions as a referral tracking tool.
