Neurotechnology, a provider of high-precision biometric identification technologies, has released new versions of the company's core product Software Development Kits (SDKs) for fingerprint, face, iris and multi-biometric identification. The latest SDK versions, VeriFinger 6.1, VeriLook 3.3, VeriEye 2.1 and MegaMatcher 3.0, provide enhanced interoperability, reliability and ease-of-maintenance over previous versions. The new MegaMatcher 3.0 SDK for large-scale AFIS and multi-biometric identification systems now provides a 40,000-per-second fingerprint matching speed (a four-fold increase over version 2.1). In addition, the new VeriEye 2.1 Standard SDK may now be used as an iris recognition add-on to MegaMatcher (which includes face and fingerprint modalities), enabling development of accurate, fast and reliable tri-modal biometric systems. Each of the new SDKs also support additional scanners and cameras, enabling use in a wider variety of systems.
"Our new product versions enable the use of fingerprint, face or iris biometric identification or any of these modalities in combination," said Algimantas Malickas, CEO of Neurotechnology. "These multi-modal capabilities, along with our algorithm improvements, extend the speed, reliability and potential applications of our products."
With the new version of MegaMatcher and VeriEye 2.1 it is now possible to have a very fast and highly accurate tri-modal identification system wherein the iris, fingerprint and face results are fused to generate a unique individual identification. Additional configurations, such as multiple fingerprint and face or two irises and face, produce extremely accurate matching results. For systems that are not using MegaMatcher, the new SDK versions also enable system integrators to tie the three individual fingerprint, face and iris SDKs together to create tri-modal systems..
