Healthcare software developer Clinix Medical Information Services, LLC, (www.clinixmis.com) announced the release of ClinixMD Version 7.5, an important upgrade to the company's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. The new release will enhance medical record keeping capabilities, as well as increase efficiency and ease of use for physician practices and billing companies.

ClinixMD software is acclaimed as much for its best practices technology as for its simplicity of use. According to ClinixMIS President and CEO Jerry Killough, the latest features specifically enhance the technology and efficiency even further. "We strive to give our users the most advanced tools to increase their efficiency and productivity," Killough adds.

New features include ePrescribing Certification with SureScripts under the latest SureScripts standards: Formularies, Patient Drug History, and Eligibility. The upgrade also includes increased functionality of scanned forms and enhancements to faxing and messaging capabilities. Development of a G-Code generator for the eRx reporting makes the user experience faster and more intuitive.

With its ASP-based architecture, Clinix upgrades are available immediately and automatically to users. With low start-up and no maintenance costs, ClinixMD requires no dedicated server at the physician's office, and integrates with ClinixPM, the company's practice management system. The company's leading edge data center ensures the most secure and stable technology available.

With the nationwide mandate for all physician practices to have an EMR for their practices by 2014 and the already broad application of Clinix software in practices across the United States, Killough expects the new version of ClinixMD to receive enthusiastic acceptance in the market.

"In developing the 7.5 version upgrade, we have done our homework and most importantly, responded directly to the needs of our users and the demands of the ever-changing healthcare industry," Killough adds.
