Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma, located in Oklahoma City, today announced that it has partnered with Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA), one of the country's largest providers of specialty surgical services. Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma is a state of the art hospital providing surgical services and inpatient acute care in a number of specialties including pain management, podiatry and orthopedics. SCA and a number of physician partners will own the facility and SCA will provide management services.

"We are pleased to announce our decision to work with SCA. After reviewing several possible partners, we have selected SCA to join us in this capacity due to their impressive and comprehensive operational platform and their focus on quality patient care," said Dr. Kevin McMullen, Medical Director of the hospital. "Surgical hospitals are high-quality, low-cost providers of surgical services, which creates substantial savings for both the patient and the healthcare system. This makes the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma an attractive place for my partners and me to care for our patients," said McMullen.

Andrew Hayek, President & CEO of SCA said, "We at SCA are excited about the opportunity to partner with this group of quality physicians. Our partnership with the Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma will allow the physicians utilizing this hospital to focus on clinical excellence while leveraging SCA's nationwide infrastructure and support services. This is another step forward in SCA's plan to expand its services to more physicians, surgical hospitals and surgery centers across the country."
