KIKA releases the Veracity 3.7 advanced EDC solution for clinical trial management

Veracity™ is a highly configurable, collaborative platform for all clinical trial stakeholders. Veracity’s™ Web services architecture makes it open and ready to integrate to a customer’s clinical IT systems. Veracity™ enables all clinical trial stakeholders to collect, monitor, adjudicate, analyze and manage clinical study data (CRF, medical images, lab data, etc) in real time, and store them into a CDISC-ready database. Veracity™ is supported by an ISO-certified quality environment. It enables regulatory compliance including 21 CFR Part 11.

New features in Veracity™ 3.7 include:

• Extension of the list of Internet browsers the Web Client supports to include Internet Explorer 8 and FireFox 3.5. In addition Veracity™ also now supports the following operating systems:
  • Microsoft Windows XP 64-bits
  • Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bits
  • Microsoft Windows 2003 Server 32 and 64-bits
• Improved Access to Data and Visibility on Data Status mechanism – Enables better visibility on existing data at all levels by displaying data status from the case level to the data point.
• New “Notes” element for Monitors/CRA – Allows authorized users to record and share Comments about their activity on a page level. The system records the time, date and author of the note.
• New “Check Status Management” – Authorized users can apply status to edit checks that are flagged automatically by the system. This facilitates the monitor’s review and tracking of pending inconsistencies.
• New Batch Mode – Makes it easier to manage the Page Status/Signature process.
• Improved Page Flow Mechanism – Via a new navigation tree, users can let the system decide the next relevant element page to be displayed, or decide themselves.

Veracity™ 3.7 also offers a new set of features for its authoring tools which further facilitates the deployment of clinical studies.
