SunTech Medical announces the independent validation of the SunTech 247™ blood pressure monitor to appear in the October issue of Blood Pressure Monitoring.

The independent evaluation was conducted by Dr. Hernan Polo Friz, Dr. Roberto Sega and additional researchers at the University of Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca). This clinical validation performed simultaneous evaluation of the SunTech 247 in accordance to the protocols for the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the British Hypertension Society (BHS), and the European Society of Hypertension (ESH).

The SunTech 247 achieved an “A” grade for both systolic and diastolic accuracy according to the BHS guidelines and a passing grade for both the AAMI and the ESH International Protocol guidelines. These results provide the SunTech 247 with clinical validation to all three of the internationally recognized standards for measuring automated blood pressure accuracy.
