blue sky scrubs, an online boutique specializing in designer scrubs and scrub hats, has been looking for a non-profit organization who will accept a large donation of men's scrubs, women's scrubs, and scrub hats. After making several attempts at contacting various hospitals and clinics, the Texas-based retailer is hoping that they will find a recipient or recipients who is in need of medical apparel.
When it comes to scrubs, or any product that a client purchases from blue sky scrubs, the company is ultra selective with their inventory. Their prices are higher than the competition and therefore, they guarantee flawless fabric and uniforms. It is against company policy to allow a product to leave the facility if it has any sort of defect, whether the logo is a millimeter off, there is a small snag on the scrub pants, etc. Additionally, blue sky scrubs does not resell items that have come back for a refund or an exchange. As anyone can imagine, after nearly 5 years of Internet sales, blue sky scrubs has accumulated hundreds of scrub sets and hats that they will not sell through their online store. However, 99% of these items are flawless or very close to being flawless.
blue sky scrubs' management has thought of several ideas, from selling the items on eBay to creating a "sale" or "retail outlet" for their almost-perfect items. However, at a company meeting, the team unanimously voted to donate the scrubs and hats to organizations such as Doctors without Borders, Saving Mothers, Planned Parenthood, and/or any other organizations or schools in need of quality hospital uniforms. Items available include navy, grey, black, and ceil blue men's scrub tops and men's scrub bottoms, women's scrub tops and scrub pants in all of the above colors plus pink, turquoise, purple, aqua, olive, pine, "O.R. Green," and chocolate to name just a few. In addition to the scrubs, there are hundreds of cotton scrub hats in all three women's styles that blue sky scrubs carries as well as several dozen men's scrub hats.
