Renal Dialysis is now available at Gilbert Hospital.

"There is a growing need for renal care, specifically, dialysis and proportionally, that growth is right here in the Valley" said David Wanger, the hospital's chief executive officer.

FACTS:

  • More than 100,000 people are diagnosed annually with kidney failure in the U.S. (Arizona Kidney Foundation).
  • More than 26 million Americans have kidney disease (Arizona Kidney Foundation).
  • Chronic Kidney Disease has increased by more than 20 percent in the past decade (United States Renal Data System).

Treatment for kidney failure is dialysis, an artificial blood-cleaning process, or transplantation of a healthy kidney from a donor.

Gilbert Hospital has contracted with Fresenius, a medical care company specializing in kidney (renal) dialysis.
