AppDetectivePro solution from Application Security awarded Certificate of Networthiness by U.S. Army

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

Application Security, Inc., the leading provider of database security, risk and compliance solutions (SRC) for the enterprise, today announced that its has received a Certificate of Networthiness (CoN) from the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) for its AppDetectivePro™ solution. With over one hundred thousand databases protected, AppDetectivePro is the defacto standard tool for database auditing. The solution maps directly to the Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8500.2 Information Assurance implementation, eliminating the need to manually run database Security Readiness Review (SRR) scripts.

CoN certification is a requirement for all enterprise software products and signifies that AppDetectivePro is compliant with the Army Enterprise Infrastructure’s rigorous testing standards and guidelines. The certification applies to all National Guard, Army Reserve, and DoD organizations that use the Army Enterprise Infrastructure Network.

“We’re in a cyber war, and government databases are under attack,” said John Ottman, president and CEO, Application Security, Inc. “This distinction by the U.S. Army means AppDetectivePro has not only met the most stringent testing guidelines, but is also an integral component in the fight to protect our nation’s most confidential data.”

AppDetectivePro discovers, accesses, reports and proposes fixes for database security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. Because it is agentless, AppDetectivePro can be rapidly implemented across large, database environments providing immediate time to benefit. The solution delivers detailed compliance reports and a comprehensive view of an organization’s database asset inventory, vulnerability profile, access controls and entitlements to sensitive information.
