Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI) has selected Sprint (NYSE: S) as its wireless communications provider of choice at its new, state-of-the-art facility near Las Vegas. This is the first Sprint in-building coverage and capacity agreement involving a large healthcare institution in the Las Vegas market.
The Sprint solution will provide coverage enhancement for hundreds of IT, security, facilities, administrative and executive staff who use Nextel Direct Connect, mobile broadband air cards, phones, and PDA devices to deliver care. Clinicians, patients and visitors, whose service is powered by Sprint’s Now Network, will also enjoy seamless wireless coverage to communicate, update and access time-critical information within NVCI buildings.
