American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS) introduces a new line of medically certified LCD Monitors for hospitals and personal care industries. The medical LCD displays have passed UL60601-1 Medical Equipment Certifications for approved electronic compatibility and reliability in the medical field. They are currently available in 17” and 19” sizes with the same physical appearance to maintain a consistent look over all installations. These monitors have been designed to be installed in dentist chairs, examination rooms, waiting rooms, and patient monitoring rooms to display vital information for patients and/or viewers.

The stringent reliability plan applied during the design, results in many years of trouble-free operation in the field. Industrial grade components are utilized throughout the monitor for high reliability and long life-cycle availability. The front bezel protects against ingress of solid and water to an IP21 rating. An acrylic protection screen, anti-reflective and antiglare hard coat is mounted in front of the LCD panel to protect the monitor from chemicals and rubbing in a medical environment. An optional resistive touchscreen is also available, enhancing the versatility and input capabilities of users through the display. Through incorporating a color filter with broad color gamut, the panel delicately reproduces the shades of color with excellent continuity in color ramps, and display images that are rich and natural.
