Stratum Benefit Solutions has launched Corporate Health IQ™, a
360-degree corporate health risk assessment and comprehensive strategy
for designing and implementing integrated results-based incentives for
corporate health and wellness programs. Utilizing the principals of
defined risk modeling, a proprietary approach to health risk
assessments, biometric screenings and a combination of both alternative
funding and insured programs, Stratum Benefits’ Corporate Health IQ™,
has successfully reduced health care costs for clients on average of 13%
per year.
Corporate Health IQ™ will be primarily fee-based. Co-founder and
Managing Partner, Joe Ceccacci says, “Our clients expect us to work hard
to help them identify opportunities to reduce their costs. Bringing
innovative approaches to our clients mean reduced premiums and reduced
costs. We are invested in our clients’ success, and a move to fee- and
performance-based compensation is in our clients’ best interests.”
Robert Gearhart, Co-founder and Partner of Stratum Benefits, adds,
“Corporate Health IQ™ makes sense to our clients. We measure the risk,
identify the solution and get the results. Based upon our significant
and demonstrated experience, clients that have embraced our approach are
seeing the results. Premium and plan options are linked to specific
goals like BMI less than 27.5, blood pressure less than 130 over 85 and
other lifestyle related measures such as cholesterol and smoking.
“Towlift, Inc., is going into its fourth year of results-based
wellness,” says Dave Bongorno, Vice President of Corporate Planning, of
Towlift. “To date, we have seen year over year reductions in our health
care costs on average in excess of 10%.”
Says Robert Gearhart, “Another client, Simonton
Windows, a division of Fortune Brands, is entering its second season
of incentive-based wellness and seeing an overall improvement in BMI,
LDL, cholesterol, blood pressure and smoking results. Working with our
preferred partner, Bravo
Wellness, we implemented this program at Simonton Windows in 2008.
Simonton Windows was recently spotlighted in a nationally televised
segment of Inside
Business Report with Fred Thompson, host and former Senator.
While the national debate on the health care crisis continues, almost
everyone agrees that a healthy work force will help lead to lower costs.
Corporate Health IQ™ is how we help our clients get there.”
