Bracco Diagnostics, Inc. (Bracco Diagnostics) recently selected Datalliance VMI as the platform for their Vendor Managed Inventory program. Bracco Diagnostics is a leading supplier of clinical agents for use in X-ray/Computed Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). With headquarters and research offices in Princeton, New Jersey, Bracco Diagnostics is the US-based subsidiary of Italy-based Bracco Imaging SpA. Datalliance is a leading provider of collaborative commerce services and the world's largest independent VMI (Vendor Managed Services) service provider.

Kimberly Cox, Bracco Diagnostics Director of Supply Chain Operations, said, "Our goal with VMI is to expand the service we offer to our large healthcare customers. By assisting with the inventory replenishment process we will help our customers be more efficient by addressing mutual objectives such as reducing stockouts and maximizing inventory investment.

By taking on this responsibility, Bracco will help customers free up their resources so they can focus on their goal of providing the best possible patient treatment. VMI is an important part of our on-going commitment to helping our customers always have the right product, at the right location, at the right time, and at the right price. Using VMI, we're better positioned to work collaboratively with hospitals, doctors, and other healthcare professionals."

As a first step, Bracco Diagnostics has already used Datalliance to implement a VMI process between their two internal distribution centers in Memphis, TN and Reno, NV. Datalliance VMI has automated the process and is helping Memphis inventory managers plan and execute replenishment to the Reno warehouse. "Using Datalliance VMI, we've already reduced overall inventory levels in Reno while maintaining high customer order fill rates," said Edward Febinger, Bracco Diagnostics Senior Demand Planning Analyst. "By automating much of the inventory management process, we've freed up skilled resources to work on more value-added activities. At the same time, the information we're now getting from Datalliance VMI is helping us analyze and improve inventory and fill rate performance."

"We selected Datalliance as our VMI platform because of its flexibility to meet our needs and the needs of our customers," added Cox. "Already working with leading healthcare organizations, Datalliance has an excellent reputation for implementation support and customer service. Based on our success with Datalliance to date, we're excited about taking this capability to our customers over the coming months."
