Apotex provides nearly $2M worth of medicines for Haiti relief efforts

Apotex Inc, the largest Canadian-owned pharmaceutical company, is working with the following relief organizations: World Vision, Feed the Children, and One X One. The company has provided close to $2 million worth of medicines to assist with the healthcare needs of the Haitian population.

The shipment of medicines included painkillers and antibiotics and is slated to leave this Saturday on an Air Canada flight. An earlier shipment left with a group of 10 doctors working for the relief organization "Feed the Children".

"Our employees and management wanted to help, and it was the right thing to do. We have a tradition of providing assistance around the globe when disasters occur" stated Mr. Jack Kay, President & COO of Apotex Inc.
