Ecolab signs exclusive license agreement with C Change Surgical

Ecolab Inc. today announced it has entered into an exclusive agreement with C Change Surgical LLC to license products that improve surgical outcomes by helping to maintain consistent body temperature of patients. The technology has wide application and can be used in the majority of traditional surgical procedures, as well as in minimally invasive and robotic procedures.

The agreement includes exclusive rights to a portfolio of patents related to surgical fluid warming technology. Using these patented technologies, Ecolab’s Healthcare business will develop and market surgical fluid warming products for the healthcare market.

“Maintaining a consistent patient body temperature is critical to improving surgical outcomes,” said Paul B. Chaffin, vice president for Ecolab Healthcare North America. “This technology, which accurately manages the temperature of sterile surgical fluid, will enhance our patient warming product offerings and help physicians improve patient care.”
