Pronto Seminars announced its 2010 schedule in Italy providing CE/CME workshops for Physicians, Psychologists, MFTs, LCSWs, RNs and other health professionals.

“2010 is a time for health professionals and their families to restore, heal, and learn”

“2010 is a time for health professionals and their families to restore, heal, and learn,” said founder Ron Pilato. Pronto has a unique alternative for continuing education.”

  • Restore with Richard Miller, Ph.D. “iRest Retreat”, June 6-11;
  • Heal with Lee Lipsenthal, M.D., “The Healer Within”, June 14-19;
  • Learn with Rebecca Jorgensen, Ph.D., “Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy”, June 20-25.

Events are held at the Hotel Villa Rinascimento, a splendid Renaissance Villa that dominates the olive and vineyard covered valley of Santa Maria del Giudice. The Villa offers an extraordinary setting with a serenity suited to the nature of Pronto’s programs. Tours are available through the cities of Lucca and Pisa, both 9 km away.

Ellyn Bader, Ph.D., Director of The Couples Institute and 2007 speaker, said, “Pronto was better than I expected. The seminar was rich because therapists from different countries shared experiences working with couples. I also loved being able to work with a small intimate group. We felt so welcomed by Pronto and the local Italian culture. Truly a week I’ll never forget.”

Esther Perel, MFT, a 2009 presenter said, “It was a pleasure to work with Pronto last year, embraced by the Tuscan hills. Participants came from all over the world and spanned many disciplines. I would certainly do it again.”

“These seminars are a cost effective way to combine travel and education. The setting provides the ease to make friendships in a small group sharing the pleasures of adventure and discovery,” says Melanie Mopsick, LCSW, a regular participant.

“The classes are designed for participants to have afternoons free to wander through the countryside, immersed in Italian culture. Learning in this environment, at a relaxed pace, allows for a full integration of new material,” said Sandy Hungerford, MA, a participant who has attended Pronto’s programs in Sorrento and Venice.
