The arrest happened last night when the police raided their illegal lab at Hamilton Street. Another drug lab was also raided in Phillip Street arresting two more men who were also presented to court. The woman was granted bail while the men were remanded in custody.

According to a revelation by the Criminal Investigation Branch detective sergeant Luke Peachey seven people were charged with 37 offences after police raided a unit in Phillip Street on Saturday. He said, “We found equipment, glassware and chemicals believed to have been used in the manufacture of amphetamines (speed)…We also located fry pans that had been used the night before (to cook the drugs), crushed Sudafed tablets, syringes and cannabis.”

Specialist officers from the Illicit Laboratories Investigation Team (ILIT) travelled from Brisbane to dismantle the drug labs. The unit was cordoned off and guarded overnight until the ILIT team arrived.
