Today, the BioMedix TRAKnet software suite was granted the prestigious American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance. BioMedix is the only company to receive the APMA Seal of Acceptance for Electronic Health Record and Practice Management software.
"TRAKnet is an invaluable tool for our member podiatrists because it integrates day to day activities such as electronic health records, charting, scheduling and billing into one comprehensive system," said APMA President Kathleen Stone, DPM. "The system also helps our members take advantage of federal incentives offered to physicians using electronic medical records."
TRAKnet Electronic Health Record and Practice Management software is an expandable, all-in-one practice management platform that enables seamless operation and increased efficiency while reducing costs. Designed by and for podiatric physicians, the software incorporates billing, charting, scheduling, e-prescribing and inventory management to allow effortless transition from scheduling to encounters and claims while interfacing with the BioMedix full suite of software and hardware products that enable physician offices, vascular labs and hospitals to deliver community based collaborative care.
Established more than 35 years ago, the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal Program was created to inform both podiatric physicians and consumers about products whose quality, safety, and effectiveness allow for normal foot function and/or promote quality foot health. The APMA Seal of Acceptance is awarded to equipment for professional use in the delivery of foot care when evidence of safety and effectiveness has been established by an appropriately recognized laboratory and/or clinical investigation and/or when physical standards and/or specifications applicable to equipment have been met.
John Romans, BioMedix President and CEO comments, "It is always a great honor to receive clinical approval from a national physician association. Receiving the APMA's Seal of Acceptance for TRAKnet, however, is particularly special as we are committed at BioMedix to making healthcare information technology more accessible to the podiatric physician community so they may better serve patients in critical need of their care."
