MediConnect Global Inc. today announced that the company has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring's North America 100 award, which honors the year's most promising private technology ventures in North America.
“We are honored to be selected by such a distinguished organization as Red Herring, and it is a privilege to be included amongst this prestigious group of companies”
The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a large pool from across North America, in industries ranging from telecommunications and security to Web 2.0, software, hardware, biotech and clean tech. The nominees are evaluated according to both quantitative and qualitative criteria—including financial performance and -health, technological innovation, strength of the management team, quality- and execution of strategy, market size and customer acquisition. The selection team reviewed the nominees' actual track record and standing in their respective industries.
"We are honored to be selected by such a distinguished organization as Red Herring, and it is a privilege to be included amongst this prestigious group of companies," said Amy Rees Anderson, CEO of MediConnect Global. "This recognition validates the remarkable efforts of our team and the great support of our clients as we continue to expand our services in the global healthcare marketplace."
"This year was especially difficult," said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. "Despite the global economic situation, there were so many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products that we had a difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists. MediConnect Global shows great promise, and we are confident the company will achieve great things."
The finalists for the award will present their winning strategies at the Red Herring North America Conference in San Diego, June 22-24, 2010, and the Top 100 winners will be announced at a special June 24 awards ceremony at the event.
