Six Rio South Texas hospitals among nation's top 5%

Successful regional economic development has to focus on more than tax incentives, skilled labor pools and transportation infrastructure. Six Hospitals in Rio South Texas Rank among Nation's Top 5%

In its 2010 survey, HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent hospital rating company, assessed 5,000 hospitals and identified those facilities with the fewest number of in-hospital complications and mortality rates.

The following hospitals in Rio South Texas were evaluated as among the top 5% hospitals in the United States and were given the designation of "Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence™."

  • Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, Edinburg
  • Edinburg Regional Medical Center, Edinburg
  • Harlingen Medical Center, Harlingen
  • McAllen Medical Center/Heart Hospital, McAllen
  • Rio Grande Regional Hospital, McAllen
  • Valley Regional Medical Center, Brownsville
