Profil Institute for Clinical Research to support ADA's Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes

Profil™ Institute for Clinical Research, Inc., a company specializing in early phase clinical trials for diabetes and obesity, announced today that Dr. Marcus Hompesch, the company's President and CEO, will serve as San Diego's 2010 Corporate Chairman for Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes, the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) largest fund-raising event.

Dr. Hompesch will help host the annual corporate community kick-off breakfast today at The University Club Atop Symphony Towers, where community and business leaders are invited to learn more about supporting the Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes in San Diego through corporate donations or by forming a team of walkers for the event.

The ADA's Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes raises about $20 million annually on a national level with more than 150 walks taking place in over 100 U.S. markets.  Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes in San Diego will take place Sunday, October 24 at De Anza Cove on Mission Bay.
