By our first birthday, we've acquired over 400 bacterial passengers in our gastrointestinal tract. Our gut microbes, or "bugs," work to keep our complex and diverse gut ecosystem in balance. Unfortunately, the trials of daily life-stressful events, aging, diet, or immune challenges-can be hard on these bugs. Standard Process Inc. introduces a new product, ProSynbiotic, to help our body maintain a healthy, balanced gut ecosystem.

“ProSynbiotic contains beneficial probiotic microbes to help maintain a healthy gut environment”

ProSynbiotic is more than just a "probiotic" product. It is a synergistic blend of four research-supported beneficial probiotic strains and two prebiotic fibers, designed to support gut flora and overall intestinal health. By combining the research-supported action of good microbe (probiotics) with two prebiotic fibers that feed these bugs (prebiotics), ProSynbiotic helps make the gut a more hospitable place for our native bacteria to thrive. In turn, this healthy gut environment supports nutrient absorption, regularity and consistency of bowel movements, and a healthy mix of gut microorganisms.

"ProSynbiotic contains beneficial probiotic microbes to help maintain a healthy gut environment," said David Barnes, Ph.D., Standard Process director of research and development. "Having these ingredients together - the prebiotic strains and the food they use to thrive - in one capsule suggests that ProSynbiotic can provide the right building blocks for a healthy microbial environment."
