HealthWyse, a leading provider of home health and hospice agency automation software, announced today that it has launched StartWyse, a web-based program for small Certified Home Healthcare and Hospice agencies. The StartWyse program offers customers an affordable opportunity to rapidly transition to a paperless environment using HealthWyse's clinical and financial software. The StartWyse program leverages the investment made in online training material while providing a structured process to implementing the clinical and billing software.

“The StartWyse program tackles this challenge head on by enabling our customers move to an electronic health record system that lets them streamline processes and better manage their operations.”

StartWyse is designed to meet the needs of new or small Certified Home Healthcare agencies. The StartWyse program reduces the time spent by agency personnel in training, and allows the agency an entry price that is affordable. To date, seven agencies have completed the program. HealthWyse offers these training programs on a quarterly basis.

"Many small agencies still rely on paper records, which can be challenging to manage and organize," said Mike Kramer, CEO of HealthWyse. "The StartWyse program tackles this challenge head on by enabling our customers move to an electronic health record system that lets them streamline processes and better manage their operations.

The StartWyse program offers agencies an affordable set of project management, software and implementation services that allow small home healthcare organizations to be fully functional in a paperless environment within 10 weeks of contracting with HealthWyse. Recognizing that an IT investment can be a difficult transition for an organization, HealthWyse maintains regular contact with StartWyse customers for an additional six weeks after the implementation and training process to ensure that the system--and agency staff--is running smoothly and efficiently. Furthermore, the program is hosted securely online, eliminating the need for these small agencies to invest in and maintain expensive hardware.

"Thus far, we've received positive feedback from our customers enrolled in the StartWyse program," said John Spindler, vice president of operations at HealthWyse. "As a company we are committed to making customer training a core competency and we've provided our StartWyse customers with a very informative and user friendly training experience. This ensures a smooth transition, which is particularly helpful for agencies that are migrating away from paper-based operations."

The StartWyse program offers its customers the following:

  • Secure, online access to OfficeWyse and FinanceWyse software;
  • Online training materials and full access to the HealthWyse training library which includes prerecorded materials and manuals;
  • Onsite training in PalmWyse at HealthWyse headquarters in Wilmington, MA for clinical champions who will in turn train field clinicians;
  • Remote access to HealthWyse trainers for review sessions.
