Health Net received a Merit Award in the insurance division for its launch of its Salud con Health Net Medicare Advantage HMO (Salud Medicare), the first-of-its-kind Medicare Advantage HMO plan targeting senior Latinos. The bilingual public relations campaign was implemented by Health Net's corporate communications department and the Milagro Communications Group.

"The Latino community is the fastest-growing market in California, so reaching out through earned media to Latinos who are Medicare-eligible and their families who help them make their health care buying decisions was an important element of our overall integrated marketing communications strategy," said Margita Thompson, vice president, corporate communications of Health Net, Inc. "We are honored that our efforts were recognized in this year's Mature Media Awards Program."
