PC Mall, Inc. (NASDAQ: MALL), whose healthcare expertise is marketed under the "HealthDynamix" brand, today announced a new solution that supports electronic health record adoption and assists physicians in achieving meaningful use as defined by the US government. Participating physicians will be able to take advantage of EHR funds recently allocated in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Through a strategic relationship with Quest Diagnostics® (NYSE: DGX), and its healthcare IT subsidiary MedPlus® HealthDynamix is collaborating with HP to offer a complete solution including software, services, and technology.
“We are very excited about this partnership and our continued commitment to the healthcare industry”
The solution includes Quest Diagnostics Care360™ EHR solution, HP hardware and HealthDynamix services in one bundle that will be offered nationally with local delivery and support. HP and HealthDynamix, an HP Healthcare Elite partner, have tailored technology and support models to ensure that physicians are supported now and in the coming years. Care360 is offered to physicians as a software-as-a-service subscription.
The Care360 subscription, when combined with financing and support options from HP, will allow HealthDynamix to offer practices a simple monthly payment without negatively impacting the cash flow of a practice. All the while, physicians will receive their yearly reimbursements from the ARRA funds for those serving Medicare and Medicaid patients. This cost-effective and efficient adoption model is also intended to provide for EHR implementation with minimal disruption. The solution incorporates EHR, labs, and ePrescribing in one comprehensive platform.
"We are very excited to partner with HP and Quest on this solution that offers one of the lowest cost of ownership models and fastest paths to meaningful use in the industry," said Dan Schneider VP & GM of HealthDynamix. "We believe that demonstrating meaningful use, low disruption to physician practices, low cost of ownership, and local support are key factors in achieving this important national objective of widespread EHR adoption."
"We are very excited about this partnership and our continued commitment to the healthcare industry," said Kris Rogers, EVP of Sales and Marketing of PC Mall, Inc. "Our previous experience supporting physicians, combined with proven ability to provide EHR training and nationwide technology services, positions us as a strong partner for physicians as they increasingly adopt EHR in the next few years."
