Thousand Oaks, California based Prisma has been providing physician billing services and claims processing software consulting to provider practices in Southern California for the past 13 years.  With the acquisition, Eileen McCranie, Prisma's founder, has become a senior member of the Entrust team.  Entrust has also expanded its Los Angeles presence with a new office in Woodland Hills to better serve its new and existing clients.

Resulting from the acquisition, Entrust Practice Services has been created to provide a more comprehensive set of revenue cycle services.  Entrust Practice Services is now positioned to help practices select, implement, and support practice management/revenue cycle technology as well as provide necessary charge capture, coding, claims processing, patient statements, insurance follow up and collections.  These expanded services complement Entrust's already complete array of services in the area of Electronic Health Record selection and implementation and Meaningful Use consulting services.

Commenting on the acquisition and expanded services, Managing Partner Christopher Assif said, "Many practices today are seeking assistance in tightly coupling clinical and billing processes to facilitate a clinically driven revenue cycle model.  With this move, Entrust is uniquely positioned in the industry to help physician practices of all sizes address critically important revenue cycle, clinical process and technology needs."
