Alma Lasers, Ltd. ("Alma"), a leader in laser, light, radiofrequency and ultrasound-based aesthetic devices, unveils the latest in next generation medical laser technology with the debut of its new Soprano(XLi) for laser hair removal and deep dermal heating. The Soprano(XLi) combines intense power, an intelligent, intuitive interface and Alma's breakthrough IN-Motion™ technology to deliver fast, virtually painless procedures with safe, reliable, and superior clinical results every time.

The Soprano(XLi) features increased SHR power up to 20J/cm(2), improved operator ergonomics, convenient pre-programmed settings for all male and female face and body parts and a large 12" full color touch screen monitor with new interactive software. These features create a sophisticated device that is extremely easy to use. The diode module has an extra-large 12x10 mm footprint and (up to) 10Hz repetition rate which means the Soprano(XLi) offers the fastest procedure time available in the market today.  Unlike other lasers, the Soprano(XLi) can treat all skin types, including tanned skin, so physicians can deliver virtually painless treatments year round.

"At Alma Lasers, we're continually working on new ways to innovate the business of beauty, and the Soprano(XLi) not only delivers highly effective, virtually painless procedures for patients, but it also delivers tangible business value to the practice," said Ziv Karni, President and CEO. "There are no consumables, disposables or replacement parts required, which significantly lowers cost of ownership. Plus the rapid treatment delivery enables higher throughput, allowing doctors to treat more patients and grow their practice."

For hair removal, the Soprano(XLi) uses a gold standard 810 nm diode laser. Its unique low fluence, high repetition rate delivers energy safely and gently to heat the dermis and hair follicles. Gradual heating combined with the contact cooled Sapphire tip ensures maximum patient comfort throughout the treatment, no analgesics are required. Its innovative SRH technology and IN-Motion sweeping technique deliver comprehensive coverage to eliminate missed and skipped spots for consistently smooth results.

Additionally, the Soprano(XLi)'s Near Infrared (NIR) module enables physicians and medical spa professionals to provide patients with virtually painless treatments for improving skin laxity. It distributes energy uniformly through its 18 cm(2) spot size to produce deep dermal heating that stimulates the formation of new collagen without damaging the epidermis. The NIR module can also be used to treat minor muscle pain, joint pain and stiffness, muscle spasms, minor sprains and strains.
