Toshiba launches RADREX-i Standard digital radiographic system

Obtaining advanced diagnostic imaging equipment to improve workflow and provide highly accurate diagnoses in a cost-effective manner is a requirement for healthcare facilities today. To meet this challenge in X-ray imaging, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. introduces the RADREX™-i Standard, a digital radiographic (DR) system to provide technologists with a straightforward, easy-to-use system.

The RADREX-i Standard system allows facilities to stay competitive by replacing film or CR cassette processing with a digital system to increase productivity and diagnostic accuracy. RADREX-i Standard was designed to improve workflow for radiology departments by offering simplified components, including ergonomic, user-friendly controls on the overhead X-ray tube, as well as advanced image processing for increased diagnostic confidence.

In addition to being an economical option for healthcare facilities, the system fits inside the majority of existing radiology rooms, making installation quicker and easier. This decreases downtime and allows facilities to provide advanced patient imaging more quickly after purchase.

The RADREX-i Standard also offers the flexibility to perform out-of-bucky work with a 14"x17" tethered portable detector, allowing radiology departments to image gurney and wheelchair patients, as well as perform cross-table imaging and image patients while standing. The portable detector improves patient comfort as it allows the patient to be imaged without being moved.

The RADREX-i Standard also includes a 500-pound table weight limit, a 300 kHU X-ray tube and an 80-kW generator, allowing hospitals to image a variety of patients quickly.
