Thinking beyond the scope of traditional Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) services, PPC Canada has partnered with Advantis Consulting Group, who specializes in organizational effectiveness through leadership-management training.

PPC Canada and Advantis Consulting Group believe that leadership training is highly complementary to EFAP services because they both strive for the same goal, which is greater employee engagement leading to increased productivity.

It is already known that EFAP programs contribute to employee engagement and productivity. Research shows that when employees thrive in their personal lives, they tend to achieve more in the workplace.  General life satisfaction leads to enhanced productivity.

But research also shows that employee engagement and workplace productivity also depends on an employee's sense of job satisfaction and one of the critical factors contributing to job satisfaction is effective leadership and management.

  • Well-trained leaders and managers play a central role in creating a healthy corporate environment leading to enhanced job satisfaction on the part of employees.
  • Employees with high levels of job satisfaction are often found to be more helpful, positive, creative, punctual, loyal, and productive.

"We're very excited about this opportunity to deliver enhanced value to our customers though leadership training, and directly impact employee productivity and performance. The first phase in this alliance includes a series of ten high quality workshops for our customers," comments Mike Miller, Vice President of Program Development, PPC Canada.  Three of the workshops focus on leadership, four on employee engagement, and three on high performance.  Each of the ten options represents a half-day to full-day workshop.  Customers also have the value-added option of reviewing the workshop outline with Advantis Consulting Group prior to the training to ensure that the workshop is customized to their organization.

"…it is full spectrum leadership" suggests Joan Deeks, President, Advantis Consulting Group, "because we are focusing on enhanced employee engagement from two critical viewpoints, one through employee services and the other through leadership training. By partnering with a common goal, we are confident that we will enhance employee engagement and by extension, improve productivity in the workplace."
