New Mexico Software, Inc., a developer of medical IT services and solutions that enable improved and faster communication within the healthcare community, announced today the implementation of a software module that gives the company virtually unlimited ability to link its XR-EXpress telemedicine services to other systems.

CEO Dick Govatski said, "This is yet another critical step in fully integrating XR-EXpress with service providers looking to provide seamless service to their customers. XR-EXpress is quickly becoming a leading provider of telemedicine services that enable x-rays, CT's, echocardiograms, EKGs, ultrasounds and other diagnostics to be read and interpreted by qualified physicians at remote locations.

"Last week, we announced that XR-EXpress service is now available on the iPad™ with a free download from the Apple App Store™. Previously, we announced an application for the iPhone™ and the iPod touch™. The availability of our Picture Archiving Communication System through Apple's smart phones and portable devices is another example of the exciting new innovations that we are developing for medical professionals to provide better services for their patients.

"All of these developments are significantly broadening our opportunities to integrate our business with a multitude of medical providers. For instance, XR-EXpress is now linked to two different medical billing services, TELCOR and EZ Claim. Meanwhile, our pipeline of new services continues to grow. This is driven by our engineering team that continues to make the enormous list of opportunities a reality for our company and our shareholders," Govatski said.

Chris Cunningham, vice president of Schryver Medical, said, "We are extremely pleased with the implementation of our interface between XR-Express and TELCOR, our new billing solution. This interface will allow our billing department to be paperless and much more efficient because all of our completed studies will transfer from XR-Express into TELCOR ready to be billed. This interface has dramatically changed our workflow and simplified our billing process, which allows our billing department to ensure that all of our completed studies are billed timely and accurately.  It also has increased our billers' efficiency making them more productive.  In these uncertain economic times it is exciting to have a partner like New Mexico Software that helps us to do more with fewer resources."
