Institute for Child and Family Health (ICFH) received a $100,000 grant funding from Health Foundation of South Florida to support health information technology initiatives. The grant funding will be used to replace its current Management Information Systems with a state of the art, integrated system that would allow use by all of its 44 programs.
"I am pleased to receive funding from Health Foundation of South Florida for health information technology," said Robert D. Nolan, Ph.D., Executive Director for ICFH. "This grant will help cut costs, streamline our healthcare system and improve patient care."
Ultimately an integrated system will improve patient outcomes by creating seamless data that can be shared between the Agency's different programs. It will also assist ICFH in meeting all of the federal and state guidelines and laws regarding confidentiality, storage of records and electronic health records including HIPAA, HITECH, and Meaningful Use regulations.
