Spacelabs Healthcare receives FDA clearance for Enhanced Flow Meter Visualization

Spacelabs Healthcare announced today that it has received FDA 510k clearance for Enhanced Flow Meter Visualization on its BleaseSirius Anesthesia System.

“Focusing on the patient and clinician to machine relationship has allowed us to offer clinicians integrated technology, reduced cost of ownership and clinical ease of use.”

Identifying key information quickly and easily is critical to the anesthesia delivery practice and the ability to record and retrieve this data is also increasingly important. With traditional flow control for the Electronic Gas Flow Measurements, clinicians retain the current "touch & feel" they are accustomed to. The exact digital readout for each individual gas is displayed using 3D flow tubes and numerics, making for an easy to read format. Furthermore, the dedicated display is positioned where clinicians would find traditional flow tubes, allowing them to instantly know the fresh gas flow to their patient. This data is immediately available for export to a patient monitoring system or electronic medical record.

"Spacelabs Anesthesia Systems, including the new BleaseSirius, incorporate the latest technology offering clinicians unparalleled performance in ventilation and vaporization," said Nicholas Ong, Group President, Spacelabs Healthcare. "Focusing on the patient and clinician to machine relationship has allowed us to offer clinicians integrated technology, reduced cost of ownership and clinical ease of use."
