AlwaysCare implements Plexis Healthcare Systems' Quantum Choice claims processing software

NewsGuard 100/100 Score

AlwaysCare Benefits, Inc., one of the country's fastest-growing insurance providers, announced the successful implementation of Plexis Healthcare Systems' Quantum Choice claims processing software to enhance efficient administration of vision benefits on behalf of its insured Members and dependents and its rapidly growing national network of vision care Providers.

AlwaysCare, part of the Starmount Life Insurance family headquartered in Baton Rouge, La., provides and administers multiple lines of employee- or employer-paid group insurance, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident, disability and life insurance plans.

Technical architecture and platform design were key factors in AlwaysCare's selection of Microsoft® SQL Server-based Quantum Choice. As a Certified Microsoft Partner, Plexis Healthcare Systems' benefit and claim administration tools employ the most advanced Microsoft technology, making it simpler to create and manage unique benefit plans. For example, Quantum Choice's design has reduced the time needed to set up a custom benefit plan for new customers from approximately eight hours to under 30 minutes. In addition, Quantum Choice's flexible, building block design and open Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) further optimize processing agility and support corporate growth objectives.

Rob Keene, Chief Operating Officer at AlwaysCare, stated, "The Plexis solution provides a platform that enables continued growth and efficiency to help drive success while enhancing the excellent service we strive to provide to our Members and Providers. The Plexis team is knowledgeable and collaborative, and continues to work closely with our technical and functional teams to drive implementation to a resounding success."

Building upon the success of its vision benefits administration deployment, AlwaysCare plans to leverage Quantum Choice for greater efficiency of dental claims management later this year.
