eCareSoft announced today the completion of an agreement with Central Texas Hospital (CTH) to connect their network of six hospitals with eCareSoft's inpatient complete EHR and revenue cycle management technology.
CTH will incorporate eCareSoft's proprietary fast-track implementation program enabling their hospital network to expedite their 'meaningful use' activities in order to qualify for 2011-2012 stimulus funds.
"We are very pleased to be a part of Central Texas Hospital's electronic health records strategy," said Jorge Camargo, CEO of eCareSoft. "Their interest in connecting their six hospitals with our technology is further validation that we are on the right path with our integrated solutions for small hospitals," added Camargo.
Many small and rural hospitals continue to face financial, technical and manpower challenges in transitioning to EHR solutions. eCareSoft offers a turnkey solution of technology, support and training for a fraction of the cost associated with traditional implementations. Using the company's fast-track implementation program, small hospitals can rollout the technology necessary to meet 'meaningful use' in as few as 120 days versus the traditional 8-12 months.
"Transitioning to electronic health records is an important step for us, not only to improve efficiencies across our hospital network, but to advance our goal of providing the highest level of patient care to our communities," stated Joe White, CFO Central Texas Hospital. "eCareSoft offered us an expedited path to achieving 'meaningful use' and a flexible solution that really seemed to fit our small hospital environments," added White.
eCareSoft's EHR is an ONC-ATCB certified complete inpatient solution that utilizes a shared patient-centric database configuration rather than facilities centric, eliminating the redundant inputting of patient historical information each time an event occurs.
